Location: Gardner, MA Category: Professional (Staff Member) Posted On: Thu Oct 19 2023 Job Description: General Statement of Duties The person in this position is responsible for providing instruction to medical assistant students in specific medical assistant coursework, competencies and practical skills when necessary for open lab sessions and/or laboratory absences. The lab assistant will communicate with primary faculty to determine exact content and objectives to be fulfilled during session. This person will mentor and role model to student professional, ethical and competent practice Responsibilities Provides tutoring on specific medical assisting content as indicated. Provides feedback on psychomotor skills during practice and completes "check offs" of required medical assistant competencies. Communicates with primary Medical Assisting faculty to determine exact content and objective to be fulfilled during lab session. Communicates with program director regarding any questions or concerns about tutoring session. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications : Associate's Degree in health related field; Current registration and/certification as a medical assistant; Must possess a minimum of two years full time experience in medical assistant or its equivalent; Evidence of competence in the area of instruction.
