Inventory Manager - Military Veterans

You will be a crucial collaborator in implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow of goods to meet both the business and customers' requirements. You will utilize your experience to continually improve our team's performance and effectiveness. Based in Fort Worth, this position will report to the Materials Manager and will work with others throughout the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all Inventory Control activities including receiving, stocking, cycle counting, and inventory pulls for capital, spare parts, and warranty orders.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy, the proper storage and preservation of all inventory assets, and timely delivery of material for capital, spare parts, service, and repair requirements.
  • Meet warehouse KPIs and regularly report on their status.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all aspects of inventory, spare parts, and warranty order requirements and ensure the prompt processing and movement of parts through Inventory.
  • Monitor all production requirements and schedule, assign and track material issuing and shortages for capital, aftermarket, and spare parts business. Audit job pulls and shipping/receiving activities to assure accuracy.
  • Manage daily cycle counts, research discrepancies, and approve variances. Initiate actions as necessary to reduce variances. Generate and publish cycle count variance reports.
  • Generate and maintain Inventory Control work instructions and support processes with respect to receiving, stockroom tasks, and shipping. Train personnel as required.
  • Hire and develop employees' skills to achieve teamwork, timely execution of tasks, inventory accuracy, and safety in the work environment. Nurture a culture that's team oriented, where employees are valued, trusted, accountable and are working towards the same goal with a focus on collective results. Mentor and train personnel to fulfil all duties.
  • Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safe work practices, and environmental requirements.
  • Must follow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and programs; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, operations management, supply chain, business administration preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment or related field/position.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Warehouse and pack out practices.
  • Understanding of blueprints, machining, fabrication, and raw material beneficial.
    • Must be capable of learning to read and understand production blueprints and routers.
  • Experience with ERP systems, operations, and function. (Oracle experience preferable but other ERP experience will be considered).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel & Teams.

  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
