Shipping Technician II - Military Veterans

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Shipping Technician II.
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential.

What you’ll do:
The storeroom clerk will use the receive material from the shipping dock and transfer them to the storeroom. They will use the forklift to transport material and complete other duties as assigned. They will be responsible for issuing materials out to fill point of use (POU). They will execute all required tasks including, but not limited to allocation of materials, picking, and delivering to departments as necessary. They will also use AS400 for timely and accurate completion of cycle counts. This person will be responsible for organizing pallets and blue bins for storage or to be sent out to vendors.

In this function you will:
You will support the supply chain materials process to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work.
• Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
• Sustainment of 5S+ in area.
• You will use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load trucks arriving or leaving from receiving area and for placing material in the proper bin location or delivering material to the work centers.
• You will proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
• You will be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of materials
• You will cross train and flex or stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.
• You will support the material handlers with receiving as needed, and support the shipping associates with boxing, crating, and other job responsibilities as required.
• You will use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory and use scanners to scan items from trucks.
• You will receive in materials as well as loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• You will be required to operate a forklift to perform job duties.
• Organize empty pallets and bins to be sent to vendors and complete 5s+ in area.
• Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Preferred qualifications:
• 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• 3 months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)
• 3 months of experience utilizing Eaton system controls including material management.
• 3 months of experience using hand and air tools
• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent
