About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Java Senior Engineer (Senior Software Engineer) in Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT), Capital Markets - Foreign Exchange Trading Technology team. This developer will have the opportunity to build, maintain multiple applications and services for Foreign Exchange customers, Traders & Sales users. This position is part of a team cross functional Agile team that design, develop, test and support these complex applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff


Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Java experience
  • 2+ years of React JS experience


Desired Qualifications:
  • 1+ years Capital Markets experience highly desired
  • 4+ years of experience with Java, Spring, Spring Batch, and Spring Boot
  • 2+ years of microservices development experience
  • 4+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 1+ years of experience with Cloud technologies such as, Azure or GCP
  • 2+ experience with NOSQL databases like Mongo DB
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban


Job Expectations:
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
