Part-Time Driver - Military Veterans

Bard College?s Transportation department seeks a part-time Van/Car Driver. The Van/Car Driver will be responsible for driving various shifts, including airport, train stations, and academic trips. The Driver must be able to safely operate a vehicle with Bard faculty, students, and staff on board. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with flexible hours and shifts.
Essential Duties
- Various shifts including airport, train station, and academic trips
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
- Safely operate a vehicle in inclement weather conditions
- Maintain a strong customer service orientation with students, faculty, and staff
- Trustworthy, professional personality, skilled in interacting positively with teens and young adults
- Must be able to build relationships with and support a staff and student body that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Compensation: $20/hour
This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
