We offer an opportunity to assume leadership of a program that is featured prominently in the School's new Strategic Plan , to be implemented beginning in 2025.Th is is a tenure - track position at the rank of assistant or associate professor , depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The Director's responsibilities include oversight and adaptation of the curriculum; teaching much of the core coursework and coordinating adjunct faculty ; strategizing with our Admissions and Marketing team to increase enrollment of qualified students by 3 0 % within 5 years; collaborating with Music Education faculty on our new SRT Music Education track; working with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the scheduling of SRT classes; and reviewing applications to the program. The Director works closely with the Production and Facilities staff to schedule and maintain the SRT suite. Instructional responsibilities include teaching audio theory; organizing and supervising recording sessions with students; and creating compelling recording experiences that enhance student learning. Applicants should be prepared to teach: Signal flow and analog consoles Digital Audio Workstations, digital audio theory and signal processing Microphones and microphone recording techniques Film and television audio post-production Basics of immersive audio Additional areas of teaching may be considered based upon the candidate's interests and school needs.
