NYU Langone Health

The Ronald O. Perelman Department of Emergency Medicine is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients, and trainees, and the broader community through excellence in patient care, education, and research.  We are currently recruiting faculty to support our rapid growth and are continually looking to strengthen our department by adding individuals who align with our goals and enhance and broaden our expertise.

We have the privilege of caring for over 400,000 patients annually at our clinical sites across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island. Our patients represent the full spectrum of the human condition: a culturally diverse and ethnically rich community. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and comfort during their time of greatest need.  Our commitment includes developing the next generation of healthcare leaders-those who will help transform care and improve our neighbors' lives. We aim to populate academic medical centers, international health systems, community hospitals, research centers and public health agencies with committed, dedicated, well-rounded professionals. We have an unwavering commitment to create a department with a rich learning environment.   In addition, we conduct cutting edge research with local, national and global impact across various themes including opioids, homelessness, alcoholism, end-of-life care, health literacy, predictive analytics, and safe care delivery systems.

Our goal is simple: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients, to elevate the health of our local and global communities, and to innovate and lead as we prepare our trainees to become future healthcare leaders.
