Special Instructions to Applicants This is a one year contract position with potential for extension. Position Summary The Assistant Development Engineer will conduct research in the areas of cell engineering and tissue regeneration. Responsibilities include cell studies, animal studies, sample processing, data analysis, interpretation of the results, writing, and communication with other lab members. Experience in molecular and cellular analysis, animal studies, histological analysis, immunostaining, microscopy, cell culture, software-based analysis are preferred. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications Expert skills infixation, cryosectioning, preservation of the tissue samples, immunostaining of cells, histological samples, and fluorescence microscopy (Required) And Expertise on cell culture studies and analysis (Required) And General experience on animal studies such as mouse/rat experiments (Required) And Writing and communications skills, for laboratory protocols, report, presentations, andpublications. (Required) Demonstrated communication skills to explain procedures and impart technical information toothers in an understandable manner. (Required) Organized, detail oriented and a team player. (Required) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's Degree Bioengineering, biology, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required) Special Conditions for Employment Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
