Position Number: 006537 Department: College of Science (Col) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 9 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics starting August 11, 2025. We seek candidates whose research is in pure mathematics with a focus in analysis, dynamical systems, or related areas. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining an active mathematics research program and seeking external funding. Teach undergraduate and graduate (master's and doctoral level) courses. Provide service to the department, the university, and the profession. Minimum Experience / Education: UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in mathematics or a related discipline. A commitment to establishing a productive research program. A commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preferred qualifications include research and teaching experience in mathematics. A strong research interest in analysis, dynamical systems, or related areas. Evidence of potential to obtain external funding.
