SUD Case Manager | University of California San Francisco - Military Veterans

The SUD Case Manager position is part of the Behavioral Health Services team at the 1930 Market Street Service Center and is responsible for providing case management services to individuals and groups who have substance use disorders, potential co-occurring mental health disorders and/or are living with HIV/AIDS. This position is part of a larger multidisciplinary behavioral health services team that includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, therapists, substance use counselors, case managers and psychologists. This position provides case management services to individuals living with co-occurring diagnoses of substance use issues, mental health issues and medical issues, within a Harm Reduction philosophy. Motivational Interviewing, among other interventions, is utilized to help clients explore their relationship to their drug(s) of choice, address their ambivalent feelings about making changes to their use and creating client-centered, realistic and meaningful treatment plan goals for change. This position works under the clinical supervision of a certified substance use counselor and in conjunction with other teammates providing outpatient-level substance use treatment services. This position will involve providing case management services consisting mainly of field work, outreach and navigation of clients to community services, assessing clients' service needs and assisting clients with appropriate referrals (e.g., substance use treatment, housing, vocational and other mental health services) to reduce barriers to treatment. Additionally, the SUD Case Manager will assist clients in creating and meeting treatment plan goals and reduce barriers to care. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $29.79 - $38.74 (Hourly Rate).
