Job Type: Officer of Administration Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 35 Salary Range: $95,650 - $104,600 The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager is responsible for delivering quality and reliable services to the academic and administrative units on the Morningside Campus as it relates to event support. Responsibilities Supports the programmatic and fiscal strategy for achieving and delivering expected events services. Directly supervises staff in the delivery of event support and programs necessary to maintain facilities in the most efficient and effective manner. In collaboration with the Executive Director, develops priorities to realize departmental objectives. Manages workload across the unit, including work assigned to vendors and contractors, to assure a timely and quality response to requests for service and event support. Ensures services for special events held in all outdoor and indoor spaces are in place including the schedule set-ups and break downs services associated with these events. Ensures that part of the planning includes scheduling clients request for removal of furniture and coordination with the CUF&O Labor Shop. Determines the most effective manner to allocate resources during periods of peak demand. Administers performance standards to meet the service expectations of a broad client base and productivity measures to identify and track progress and customer satisfaction. Continually assesses performance through established standards and apply corrective measures as required. Maintains effective communications with clients. Coordinates development and implementation of work schedules, job estimates, and allocate necessary resources and knowledge for all other requests. Analyzes feedback and adjusts programs, schedules, and labor requirements accordingly. Works closely with the Executive Director and management across Facilities and Operations to ensure a well-coordinated effort to maximize the provision of complimentary services. Performs other special assignment and duties at the request of the Executive Director. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor???s degree and/or equivalent. A minimum of three to five years related experience required. Must be able to work well with people at all levels of the organization. Must have excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and follow-up skills. Excellent customer service skills are must. Must be a team player. Strong organization and time management skills are a must. Must have the ability to prioritize work for self and teammates in a fast paced office setting. Previous experience in venue operations and management and/or event management. Experience in event management related to large scale events such as commencement, concerts, University-wide orientation programs, and convocation ceremonies, in addition to smaller scale student and departmental events required. Experience managing service requests through from receipt to completion a plus, as well as familiarity with work order system particularly Maximo required. This position requires the ability to work weekends and extended hours in support of large scale events or as necessary. Preferred Qualifications Experience with unionized workforce and specialized trades a plus.
