Overview
This position will support a wide range of project tasking as they specifically relate to the Life Cycle Services contract(s). Assignments are exclusive to an office environment and do not require travel. This position is located at the Surface Ship Support Center/CROF in Brunswick, Maine.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
- Project and procedural support of Lifecycle Quality and Applications efforts.
- Support Lifecycle Engineering through the design, development, and maintenance of databases and/or visual interfaces to meet specific management, reporting, and workflow needs.
- Participate in various special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test databases with other business applications.
- Support DDG-51 class and DDG-1000 class contract related efforts through various metrics and data mining tasks.
- Interface with Engineering, Design, Program Office, and the customer as required.
Responsibilities
- AS or BS degree in the field of Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of New Construction or Planning Yard experience preferred, or 1-3 years of relatable database management systems (RDBMS) experience.
Qualifications
- Experience in developing and managing databases with MS Access.
- Familiarity with SQL Server or other database management systems.
- Data visualization proficiency using Tableau or MS Excel.
- Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build front-end applications according to specifications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- This position requires you to be able to obtain a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration and you must be able to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire.
