Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant as part of the Sale Solutions - Data Reporting and Analytics team within Wholesale Operations. As the Lead Consultant, you will be responsible for helping a global team of analysts perform operational analysis to enable Wholesale Operations leaders to improve productivity and efficiency by utilizing data to provide meaningful insights to various business units. The Lead Consultant will also work to establish governance, infrastructure and repository of key impact and risk indicators to provide efficient delivery of metrics.

In this role, you will:


  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data

  • Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced team members

  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors

  • Integrate data from multiple sources and establish new data connections and work to maintain existing connections

  • Provides data-related consulting services on key projects and initiatives impacting our business partners



Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Wealth and Investment Management Operations experience

  • 5+ years of experience utilizing data management reporting and query tools such as PowerBI and SQL

  • Demonstrated experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving table joins and correlated sub-queries on large scale data tables

  • Proficiency in solution development using the Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server Reporting Services [SSRS], SQL Server Analysis Services [SSAS], SQL Server Integration Services [SSIS])

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively manage, and execute multiple complex projects concurrently within a fast-paced organization with limited direction and oversight

  • Ability to influence without direct authority, gain buy-in and negotiate with a diverse group of business partners/stakeholders including senior/executive management

  • Technically adept with advanced analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to interpret data into meaningful insights and strategies and independently develop strategic recommendations based on relevant data

  • Strong relationship building, partnering and collaborating skills including providing coaching and guidance to less experienced team members

  • Excellent presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and succinct manner to audiences with a variety of backgrounds

  • Experience creating effective executive level presentations

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)



Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule

  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
