What You Will Do

We are seeking an entry-level HRIS Analyst I with a focus on Oracle systems to join our Human Resources team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR systems, reporting, and process improvements, while contributing to the overall efficiency and functionality of our HR department.
This entry-level role works closely with both functional and technical teams to ensure the HRIS operates efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration, maintenance, data input, troubleshooting and validation within our Oracle HRIS, along with managing various reporting functions related to that data. As a Level 1 support resource, you will assist with technical matters and contribute to optimizing HRIS processes for improved functionality and user experience.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Basic understanding of Oracle HRIS and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables and if /then logic).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide basic technical support and troubleshoot HRIS issues.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent
- Understanding of quantitative/qualitative measurement and data/system design principles
- Experience in process improvement, LEAN, or Six Sigma
- Knowledge of data security and privacy standard a plus
Work Location: The work location for this position is telework and is located in Los Alamos, NM Telework is defined as working from offsite but within 2hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary.All work locations areat the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.
Position commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 Year.
