As a Sr. Advanced User Experience Designer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our products and solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to define user experience goals and requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to comprehend their needs and translate them into intuitive and user-centric designs. You will guide the design process from concept development to final implementation, ensuring that design solutions meet user needs and business objectives.



You will report directly to our Design Director and youll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule.



In this role, you will impact the user experience of Honeywell products and applications, driving innovation and ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of our customers. You will work closely with business guides to develop brand strategies, product roadmaps, and brand design languages.


The position will be based at our Atlanta, GA facility.


Key Responsibilities




  • Work with cross-functional teams to define user experience goals and requirements


  • Develop and implement design strategies and guidelines


  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet user needs and business objectives


  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user experience design

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in user experience design


  • Create and iteratively refine UI prototypes (low- through high-fidelity as appropriate) that effectively communicate design intent to the cross-functional product team and customers.


  • Incorporate research insights, UX best practices, business needs, and the Honeywell Design Language System in your design


  • Develop and implement cohesive design strategies that span touchpoints across the life cycle of multiple products.


  • Lead the scoping, planning, and tracking of assigned projects.


  • Participate in generative and evaluative research activities. Plan and conduct workshops.


  • Drive and maintain the quality of design and consistency of deliverables across the design group by defining standard templates and processes.


  • Manage engagements with external design and development firms.


  • Coach and mentor others.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to

ability to obtain an export authorization.


YOU MUST HAVE




  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics


  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work


  • Proven experience in guiding and mentoring a team of designers


  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)


  • Strong insight into usability and accessibility ethics

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field


  • Strong guiding and mentoring abilities

  • Experience with user research and usability testing
