Truck Operator/Warehouse Laborer - Military Veterans

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for operating trucks as directed and specified while adhering to all rules and regulations as mandated by Mortenson safety policies and procedures. General Warehouse Laborer duties to support equipment operations.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Operate the following trucks based on the requirements of the project:
  • Stake Bed Truck
  • Tractor Trailer/Lowboy
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Ensure that all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
  • General equipment maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance to include lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
  • Observe equipment operation to detect machine malfunction
  • Follow work plans and pre-task cards
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Load and unload trucks, pull orders, maintain equipment logs and general warehouse duties.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback


  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Related construction experience preferred
  • Current driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law
