ASML San Jose, CA is an industry leader in computational lithography for integrated circuits. Our Tachyon platform enables capabilities that address chip design, photomask making and wafer printing for semiconductor manufacturing and the LithoTuner platform enables lithography optimization for ASML’s leading photo lithography tools, known as ‘scanners’.
We are looking for a highly talented individual to join our software quality assurance team. In this position, you will be responsible for writing test codes (white box testing) to ensure software design and implementation as required, to work closely with developers to improve software testability, to design, build and maintain automated test framework, tools and infrastructure. Developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure high quality of world-class product. You will be challenged with high skill testing methodologies in concurrent computing software architecture environment. You will have the opportunity to work with software developers, hardware engineers and the application engineering organization on a regular basis.
The SDET role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.

Education:
- Bachelor and/or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or any related engineering fields
Job Description
- Design tests based on software design and internal structure of an application
- Review software implementation and codes to identify issues and suggest improvements on testability
- Perform unit or modular tests at code level (white-box testing) before or after code merge
- Analyze and verify results at code level
- Participate in debugging and root cause analysis
- Design, build and improve test infrastructure and automation framework
- Build and maintain automation tests and Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipeline
- Develop test tools to enable SQA to be able to analyze results and execute test efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in software development with coding skills of C++, Python and any required programming language
- Deep understanding of software development principles, designs/architecture and practices.
- Knowledge and experience of test automation framework and tools
- Expertise in testing techniques and methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze complex system, identify potential issues and propose effective solutions
- Good communication, collaboration and team working skills
The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:
Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan.
