Part-time Faculty, Adolescent/Young Adult Education - Military Veterans

at HERC- Upper MidWest

To teach part-time, Adolescent/Young Adult Education courses. Teaching opportunities will be based on need each semester. Courses available may include the following: SED 3706 Principles of Teaching Adolescents, SED 4800C Special Methods Science, SED 4800E Special Methods English, SED 4800M Special Methods Mathematics, and SED 4800S Special Methods Social Studies.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.

Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a M aster?s Degree in Education. Minimum of three years of teaching experience in grades 7-12 and hold a current teaching license in grades 7-12. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree; College teaching experience or College Credit Plus certification; understanding of the accreditation process, and knowledge of technology as used in teaching.
