Position Overview

The Analyst role will have the primary responsibility of supporting CRH Americas Materials’ EPM applications (financial reporting, forecast and budgeting applications). This involves maintaining existing EPM applications that includes Hyperion Planning, HFM, FCCS, ODI (data integration). Additionally, this position requires daily interactions with various EPM application users (from the finance team), resolution of queries, and supporting the monthly tasks. 

 

The ideal candidate will provide training to finance users on using excel smart view and reports, data validation and any relevant topics within the EPM space when required.  You will collaborate with finance end users to resolve data variance related issues, new accounts or new members setup, reports updates etc.  as well as take new requirements from finance users on any new request and implement them in the applications. you will monitor system performances, and develop new functionality when required.

 

This is a hybrid role and requires coming to the office located in Atlanta GA at least 3 days a week.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


  • Build good relationship with the key finance users and grow as an integral resource.

  • Data integrations - Perform routine loading of data into EPM applications using ODI, scripts, SQL. FDMEE, SQL query knowledge will be a plus.

  • Maintain financial reporting systems for CRH Americas Materials. One of which is to maintain the metadata in existing Hyperion Planning and HFM applications

  • Support the development of new Oracle EPM applications in Cloud (PBCS, FCCS etc) to replace existing on prem applications

  • Maintain calc scripts in EPM

  • Maintain and develop report scripts for data migration

  • Design and maintain reports, web forms, scripts, task lists, security and any other artifacts required

  • Update business rules, scripts, variables, ETL reference tables, and other system artifacts

  • Monitor audit logs and system activity required to ensure a stable Hyperion environment

  • Monitor calc times, server load, logs, database statistics: fragmentation ratios, member counts, etc

  • Create and implement process improvements, including testing, validating and recording of change process

  • Maintain and update the documentation on close related tasks. Develop new documentation if required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Info Science, Engineering.

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience working with different financial systems. Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning system on version 11.1.2.x. or Cloud EPM will be a plus.

  • At least One full life cycle experience of design and implementation of related EPM applications is preferred

  • Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services experience a plus

  • Oracle Data Integration (ODI), HFM, FDM, SQL experience a plus

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented and possess strong organizational skills

  • Scripting experience will be a plus

 

Work Requirements


  • Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Must be willing to learn and develop new skills in the EPM and finance space.

  • Must be 18 years in age or older

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required
