Description

The Core Data Systems within Pratt IT is seeking a Programmer Analyst with proven coding skills and experience successfully delivering solutions. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for programming, updating, and customizing of our systems, peripheral systems, interfaces, eForms and scripts. They will work on developing new database queries, integrations, web-apps and API calls. Ideal candidates will be proactive and thrive learning new skills, technologies and systems needed to support their role. Experience in IT-support and DataViz would be an added advantage in this position.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be comfortable managing and prioritizing your own work, being dynamic to the ever-changing needs of the community, and delivering in a timely manner. Great communication skills are essential to this role as you collaborate with the team, planning, creating solutions to problems and supporting the end users of our various solutions.

Examples of Duties


  • Provide support to end-users of the many automations, workflows, tools and applications the department is responsible for.
  • Join the team in tackling problems presented to us, sprint planning, weekly project reviews and more.
  • Create, adjust and maintain database queries, integrations, eForms, webapps, scripts, applications and more as part of solving problems and improving business processes.
  • Take time out to learn new skills, develop creative solutions, test and document your work.


Typical Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a computer science field or equivalent required.

Experience: Information Technology or Software development related experience preferred

Skills : Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills as well as demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion and work under pressure with attention to detail is essential. Able to provide deliverables to the department standards within a timely manner and work within an Agile framework. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague application, Microsoft SQL, UNIX and Programming (PHP, Python, Visual Studio) is preferred.
Ability to acquire new skills and perform job duties as necessary.
