The successful candidate will analyze RNAseq, ChIPseq, and spatial sequencing data to understand gene expression and epigenetic modifications. Responsibilities include working in a team of experienced scientists and trainees to characterize mouse models of neuropsychiatric disorders, learning basic laboratory techniques and biochemistry assays, and running ChIP-seq and RNAseq experiments. The position also involves performing routine laboratory experiments and procedures, recording and checking results. Additional duties include maintaining records of results and methodologies, as well as supporting data management and organization within the lab. The position requires expertise in computational biology or bioinformatics, particularly in the analysis of RNAseq, ChIPseq, and spatial sequencing data. The candidate should have a Masters degree in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with prior work experience preferred but not necessary. The role involves a blend of computational and experimental tasks, supporting the lab's research focus on the epigenetic and metabolic aspects of neuroplasticity and substance use disorders within the broader context of the departments multidisciplinary research efforts. The individual will apply expertise and knowledge to work and make decisions independently, but guidance will be provided for more complex problem solving or issues that may arise. Required Skills Bachelor's and 1-3 years of experience.
