Expected salary range of $154,800 - $172,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PrimaryPurposeofPosition
The Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs Integration, is responsible for bringing together and maximizing Corporate Affairs talents and skills on key business and policy initiatives, focusing our resources on the highest-value and most impactful work, in a way that promotes and protects Constellation's brand, reputation and relationships with key audiences.
The position also is responsible for the creation, governance and oversight of the annual Corporate Affairs strategic plan and oversees its successful execution. The senior manager works across Corporate Affairs - including Brand Reputation, Communications and Marketing - and with the broader Corporate Strategy Organization (CSO) to drive integration and alignment of Corporate Affairs goals and resources with business and policy objectives.
The senior manager engages in and helps lead key Corporate Affairs project teams that requires support from multiple Corporate Affairs departments to improve integration, streamline handoffs and increase efficiency. This includes identifying and securing resources, and recommending solutions to address and close gaps.
The senior manager also creates and leads a consistent, structured strategic planning process and methods of intradepartmental communication and education to create visibility into and alignment around strategic priorities.
The senior manager reports to the SVP, Corporate Affairs, and also works closely with the SVP and their leadership team on initiatives to build organizational capability, drive performance, and promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the department and the CSO.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Convenes, connects and coordinates Corporate Affairs teams to support key enterprise strategies and projects.
- Identifies and secures resource needs for strategic priorities and makes recommendations for resource allocation or new investments.
- Creates and leads the annual strategic planning process in partnership with Corporate Affairs leadership.
- Establishes and provides governance and oversight for the Corporate Affairs strategic plan, ensuring alignment and integration with the CSO plan and overall business strategy.
- Tracks and reports performance against plan across and outside of the department.
- Creates visibility into strategic priorities across Corporate Affairs, including managing continual communication of strategy, performance against plan, and key changes.
- Implements Corporate Affairs-wide tools and processes that improve project management, change management and intradepartmental communications.
- Builds organizational efficiency in consultation with Corporate Affairs leaders and teams to drive improved performance, including identifying marketing communications tools and trends, seeking opportunities for efficiencies, and driving increased knowledge sharing, collaboration and training and development.
- Supports oversight and management of Corporate Affairs and departmental budgets.
- 4-year degree in marketing/communications/journalism or related field with 10+ years marketing/communications experience and demonstrated success in a corporate workplace.
- Proven leadership, interpersonal and team building skills.
- Strong project and change management skills; demonstrated ability to work and influence up, down and across organizations, with ability to coordinate complex programs.
- Strong creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Ability to deliver results in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment and successfully manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction from manager.
- Experience managing vendors and budgets.
- Working knowledge of business operations and industry practices.
- MBA or relevant graduate degree.
- Expertise in energy, industrials and/or regulated businesses.
