Expected salary range of $142,200 to $158,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Cycle Outage Manager for the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, PA (near Harrisburg).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Cycle Outage Manager manages the future outage Cycle Plan for the nuclear plant and is responsible for the scoping of work into the future outages, remaining inside the outage duration, budget and resource restraints. Sequencing of work within the Long-Range Plan, taking into consideration the plant design configuration Technical Specifications, Maintenance Rule, Probabilistic Safety Analysis, personnel and plant safety, material condition, resource management, regulatory compliance, to safely optimize electrical production and minimize maintenance costs. Responsible for maintaining performance towards the various station backlog and MCIP related goals, LTAM plan.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manages various departments associated with the major scoping milestones and sub milestones in development of the work scope for Major Work, Design Changes, Programs and Systems. Works with Business Operations to ensure scope is within budget, reviews and challenges load boards and ensures milestones meet budget requirements.
- Supports and coordinates meetings for the Outage Scope Control Committee. In this role is responsible to ensure the outage work has the correct prioritization to support breaker to breaker unit operations while operation within the outage budget.
- Directs the actions of site organizations to task out the outage work orders, resource load, identify necessary materials and contracts, and ensure work split assignments support the site budget. Coordinates Outage Scope Panel meetings following Scope Freeze and during outage Execution. Incorporates approved scope changes and Emergent scope changes in PassPort/MAXIMO.
- Aligns Outage time frames, durations, budgets, equipment reliability initiatives, life cycle management and Long-Range Generation plans that encompasses several refueling cycles.
- Manages Scoping milestone actions and ensures milestone completion meets full intent or requirements, including the assignment and oversight of recovery plans as needed. Owns milestone P1.19a for the identification of outage risk.
- Mentors and develops other Work Management employees and acts as a back-up to the Outage Manager position
- Manage the Forced Outage Plans for all units.
- Supports the unit during the outage timeframe as directed by the Outage Manager
- Supports development of materials for Challenge meetings, ORM, OSP and Saturday Morning Call packages during outage execution. Participates in divisional strategy working group.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma and 12 years nuclear power plant experience including good plant system knowledge.
- Possess at least five years in a professional/exempt supervisory role in plant maintenance, operations, engineering, scheduling, planning, or work management experience
- Leadership role in outage section teams during at least two outages; including operations, work planning, maintenance or other outage-related area
- Working knowledge of PC and mainframe scheduling
- Experience in work management and scheduling
- 4-year or two-year technical degree
- Current or former SRO license or SRO certification
