Employment Type: Permanent Staff (EHRA NF) Vacancy ID: NF0008148 Position Summary/Description: The mission of the Health Outcomes Research and Education Lab at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill is to improve the health and well-being of older adults and other marginalized populations nationally and globally. We accomplish this by providing leadership and excellence in the interrelated areas of research and education. We have several existing research and program-related projects that aim to understand the physical, social, and mental health needs of older adults and those from diverse populations. Our primary strategy to achieve these goals is to recruit and retain outstanding, talented, self-motivated staff, students, and research assistants who are passionate about improving the lives of older adults and those from historically marginalized groups. We enjoy working as a team and believe that working hard, learning, and having fun are not mutually exclusive. We believe in balance and wellness, hence the name of the lab/team. We embrace a hybrid work model where people can work from home some days and in the office with team members other days. The Research Project Manager will help lead a broad range of activities related to planning, organizing, executing, managing, and monitoring the implementation of new and existing initiatives including community-based projects, primary data collection studies, and observational projects. Other duties of this position may include day-to-day program/project administration and associated business functions; manage scheduling for programs and events; working closely with undergraduate and graduate Research Assistants; serve as primary point of contact for programs/initiatives; coordinate Interviewers' scheduling; maintain up-to-date records related to programs/initiatives; liaise with community partners, stakeholders, and study participants; identify recruitment sites; monitor subject compensation; provide weekly project updates; collecting data for program assessment; implementing quality improvement measures; and participate in team meetings as needed. Education and Experience: N/A Essential Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to interpret and relay information to others to train on research protocols and policies.
