Position Number: 004735 Department: College of Health & Human Svc (Col) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Department requires a Chairperson to lead and facilitate all aspects of the Department. The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Health Management, Health Policy, Health Administration, or closely related area and be eligible for appointment as Professor with tenure. Consequently, a successful candidate is expected to have a record of successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience, successful scholarship and grantsmanship, as well as communication, interpersonal, and change management skills and experience using data to effectively develop, implement, and improve programs and initiatives which are necessary to lead a visible and dynamic department, ability to advance the College and University Strategic Plans, contribute to the Department's mission and initiatives, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration and community partnerships, engaging institutional and community stakeholders, and have excellent communication, relationship-building, and creative problem-solving skills. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Prior administrative or academic leadership experience is preferred.
