CPS operates out of corporate campuses throughout the country and works with partners in more than 41 states to provide a full range of exceptional security and customer services.

As the Manager of Corporate Security, you'll assume responsibility for the Divisional Director's duties during their absence. You'll plan and direct the investigative and physical security functions of the division, guided by the Divisional Director of Corporate Security. Developing and implementing physical security and investigative programs and strategies for the division will be your accountability. You'll direct investigators and physical security specialists to comply with company policies, legal, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you'll represent Corporate Security on various committees, conduct briefings, and coordinate with management and law enforcement when necessary.

To excel in this role, extensive security management and investigative experience and strong leadership and communication skills are necessary. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth operation of physical security and investigative functions, maintaining high-quality results, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. A proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving individual will thrive in this role.

 

WHAT OUR MANAGER OF CORPORATE PHYSICAL SECURITY ENJOY MOST


  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations of investigative and physical security personnel within the division

  • Tracking activity, incidents and physical security needs

  • Developing strategic relationships and acting as a liaison between Charter Communications and project integrators

  • Managing the facility security assessment process and ensuring compliance with security standards, policies and procedures

  • Cultivating the security team by assigning responsibility, managing accountability, and providing opportunities for growth

  • Coordinating finance for capital security project activities with department program

  • Developing standards and procedures for physical security projects that implement systems for the protection of company personnel, assets, and information

  • Managing the facility security assessment process and ensuring compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures at all Charter Communication facilities

  • Ensuring that the security programs and strategies of the organization are effectively implemented and maintained

  • Managing, coordinating, and assuring the quality of activities of technical and support staff within the department and with outsourced security services, including final commissioning of all physical security projects

  • Coordinating the finances of all capital security project activities with department program and holding budgetary responsibility for outsourced services.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

 

Required Qualifications


  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completion

  • Ability to use arithmetic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork

  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, as well as the ability to deal with all levels of people, both inside and outside the company

  • Effective verbal presentation and written communication skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice, court system and private security regulations

  • Basic knowledge of data analytics and social media tools for threat mitigation and internal communications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of Federal, state or local regulations relevant to the company (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy affecting theft of cable service preferred)

  • Understanding of the complexities of software and networking; how the systems work together

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Comprehensive understanding of physical security threats and investigations

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
     

Preferred Qualifications


  • Combined experience in conducting investigations in the military, local law enforcement or corporate security environments - 10+ years

  • Management experience - 2+ years

  • Experience managing business resumption/recovery programs

  • Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Charter Communication’s incident management and project tracking systems

  • PSP (Physical Security Professional - Certification)

  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional)

  • Office environment

  • Up to 30% Travel with the ability to work hours outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
