Senior Systems Administrator - Military Veterans

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join a team providing support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Electronic Systems (AFPEO/HB) has the collective Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) mission responsibility to manage and execute the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of the PEO Electronic Systems portfolio, which includes over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies. AFLCMC/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA with geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS. The candidate shall provide Systems Administrator support and assistance in the management and operations of program related network systems.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with relevant experience. Duties include:

  • Provide system administration of network, web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, involving network security.
  • Prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines, and critical paths required for complete solutions.
  • Perform daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems which may be mainframe, mini, client/server, or cloud based.
  • Optimize system operation and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
  • Must be well versed in JIRA and Confluence

Job Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program and at least 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 8 of which must be in the DoD

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:
  • Master's degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited educational program along with at least 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
