Job Description Boston College seeks an experienced leader of facilitiesmanagement. The Vice President for Facilities Management is responsible forall Boston College facilities operations and maintenance, capital construction,renovations and planning, sustainability, and energy management. The Vice President reports to the ExecutiveVice President. Boston College is comprised of 5 campuses spanning 430 acres and8.2 million square feet. The VicePresident leads a Facilities Management staff of over 400 individuals including:capital projects, engineering and energy management, facilities services, planningand information systems, and the business service center. The Long-Range Capital Plan calls for $1.1billion in capital expenditures for major projects over the next five years, whichis inclusive of $28 million in annual facilities capital expenditures. Key responsibilities of the position include: Leadership in integrated facilities planning, including campus master planning, capital renewal planning and energy master planning; Collaboration with senior leaders in Finance, Institutional Research and Planning, Athletics, and Academics on programming, planning, design, and execution of capital projects; Development and execution of a vision for facilities management at Boston College Oversight of the operation and maintenance of all Boston College facilities; Preparation of the capital construction annual and long-range plans; Supervision of the capital renewal and daily operations and maintenance of academic buildings, grounds, classrooms, laboratories, offices, residence halls and Division I athletic spaces. Oversight of utility and energy management programs; Advancement of the University goals for campus-wide sustainability; Analysis and presentation of facilities reports for senior management and the Board of Trustees; and Maintenance of effective customer service to all campus constituencies.
