The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.

Within TCOO, the Shared Services Operations Technology team is seeking a Technology Director of Operational Excellence. The Director is responsible for delivering technology solutions in alignment with the business execution of robotic process automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Generative AI models. These solutions improve the quality of the business and create operational efficiency by removing friction, creating straight through processing and automating manual processes with intelligent systematic solutions. This leader will be responsible for building strong relationships with business product owners and leaders, implementing innovative practices, and driving continuous improvement in reliability, performance, quality, and efficiency.

In this role, you will:


  • Build and drive the technology strategy and multi-year roadmap for the Operational Excellence business in Shared Services Operations

  • Partner with operations stakeholders on key business drivers and product vision to ensure close alignment with business objectives

  • Partner with product, architecture, platform and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software development and deployment

  • Develop and measure technology performance metrics and agile practices to track progress and success

  • Lead investment planning and associated capacity demand and costs

  • Drive the development and implementation of automation solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency

  • Build and foster a high-performing, collaborative global team engineers and other support professionals

  • Expertise leading a large engineering organization and operating with Agile principles

  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, developing their skills, competencies, and orientation towards new ways of working, while ensuring strong delivery

  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices while staying current on industry trends and best practices

  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers

  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing and develop strategies for building/retaining high-performing teams

  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives



Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership and management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud technologies, service offerings, including automation, orchestration, controls, and trends and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings

  • 5+ years of designing and building complex observability solutions leveraging industry standard toolset and/or custom-built solutions

  • 3+ years of delivering large scale technology solutions and solutions in conjunction with external delivery partners/solution providers



Desired Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Risk Management experience (Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Proven experience with building complex artificial intelligence solutions using RPA, AI, ML or GenAI technologies

  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intent

  • Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen

  • Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions

  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
