Job Summary
The Vice President of Strategic Accounts will be responsible for leading the strategic account management team, developing and executing strategies to enhance client relationships, drive revenue growth, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Effective communications and strategic engagement with customers at all levels is necessary to be able to understand their business and develop plan on how Flex can add value towards their business objectives. Location: Austin, Texas or Buffalo Grove, IL
What a typical day looks like:
- Analyze and understand customer's business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex's resources where mutually beneficial.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Define business priorities through a broad and far vision to include initiating and directing business development activities that will strengthen, expand, and drive market penetration in the account.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and be able to communicate credibly at an executive level, in particular in areas of operational performance, quality and regulatory compliance, and market dynamics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, addressing any issues or concerns.
- Ensure that contracts are negotiated and enforced in support of strategic goals and customer needs.
- Accountable to manage the P&L and key financial metrics (Profitability, Inventory, Costs, Cash, ROIC, AR, etc.).
- Drive sound financial forecasting in support of three- year plan, quarterly, and monthly forecasting processes.
- Oversee the creation of pricing models and quarterly pricing negotiations with the customers.
- Manage the claims process to address changes in customer requirements or market conditions.
- Lead and mentor the strategic accounts team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to team members.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform strategic planning.
- Stay informed about industry developments and competitor activities.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive company-wide strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Global Operations to ensure quality and delivery commitments to customers are achieved.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership on the achievement of key inventory, cash, and standard cost metrics.
- Effectively brief and leverage senior executives on strategy and tactics to create, enhance and customer proposals and consummate deals.
- Successfully negotiate difficult and/or critical business matters in collaborative fashion with senior executives both internally and externally.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic account initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on account performance and growth opportunities to executive leadership.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to understand customer needs and utilize Flex capabilities to create a winning value proposition.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and driving revenue growth.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Pay Range (Applicable to US Remote). Due to this role being remote, the actual pay range will vary depending on the geographical location of the candidate
$201,700.00 USD - $277,300.00 USD Annual
