Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design-Build Integration Supervisor to join our team! In this role you will get to develops and implements engineering department practices for work packaging of design documents for bidding by construction contractors, and facilitate communication between engineers of record and construction contractors throughout procurement and execution phases.
What You'll Be Doing:
Produces and maintains written guidance documents describing how to divide a complete design package into work packages for bidding by construction contractors of various trades.
Instructs and guides discipline engineers in implementing written guidance documents for work packaging.
Instructs and guides project personnel maintaining division of responsibilities between construction contractors and ensuring full construction scope coverage (no gaps).
Instructs and guides project personnel maintaining defined lists of interfaces between construction.
Produces and maintains written guidance documents describing how to respond to pre-bid and post-bid Requests for Information (RFIs).
Instructs and guides discipline engineers in responding to pre-bid and post-bid Requests for Information (RFIs).
Advises Project Managers and Project Design Managers on effective division of construction scope between construction contractors.
Reviews scopes of work covering all trades and to verify full coverage of construction services required to construct in accordance with the issued design documents.
Reviews bid documents to ensure subcontractor bids cover all required scope of work elements.
Develops budget estimates and staffing requirements for design-build integration personnel needed to support design-build projects.
Promotes technical excellence in the engineering department, including furthering the Quality Improvement Process.
Advises Project Managers and Design Managers regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could effect project completion and/or profitability.
Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
