Land Analyst - Military Veterans

Provides analytical and administrative services for the Surface Land function located in Greeley. Maintains surface related agreements in systems of record. Supports Land Representatives by drafting and editing a wide variety of Land documents as well as researching and resolving Landowner inquiries. Has knowledge of surface use agreements, rights-of-way, oil and gas leases, deeds, assignments, and other title conveyance documents. Knowledge of land systems, QLS, QGIS, ThoughtTrace, LandView, Execute and various county clerk and recorder systems as well as being proficient in all Microsoft365 applications.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:


  • Assist in drafting, setting up and maintaining Surface related Land Agreements in various systems of record.

  • Processing mail, check requests, sending notices and inputting of information into systems.

  • Leverage Land databases to efficiently conduct research.

  • Create and run reports from internal systems for a variety of processes.

  • Ability to analyze, recommend and/or perform a variety of system and Land agreement review, maintenance and update activities.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills within work group, internal & external customers, & other Land divisions.

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to timely resolve owner inquiries.

  • Assisting Land Representatives with daily tasks to streamline workflows and accomplish business objectives.

  • Able to communicate (written & oral) to a wide audience clearly, concisely, and professionally.



Required Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree or High School Diploma + 3 years of land/contract analyst experience

  • Knowledge of Surface land practices and responsibilities with managing Land assets and systems.

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Possess strong drafting skills with a focus on timeliness and accuracy when completing tasks.

  • Demonstrates strong teamwork skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects with various internal stakeholders.

  • Connect on shared goals and meet commitments by building strong relationships to expedite functional tasks.

  • Provide and be receptive to feedback. Share best practices and solutions for process improvement.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QLS, QGIS, ThoughtTrace, LandView, Execute, Office365 and county clerk and recorder systems.

  • Bachelor's degree in Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, Paralegal or similar.

Relocation will not be considered.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $87,100 - $171,700 .
