Position Specific Description
In the role of Wind Site Manager for the GoBlue Cluster- Goshen & Blue Water- near Zurich, Ontario, you will assume responsibility for all operational facets on the maintenance and repair of the wind farm. Your chief priority will be ensuring the team's safety while concurrently focusing on maximizing performance and profitability per the operational framework. This will necessitate devising and executing strategies to elevate maintenance practices, diagnostic capabilities, and overall operational efficiency, resulting in heightened customer satisfaction and reduced service expenditures.
Additionally, your duties may encompass:
- Enforcing the implementation of Operational Safety Policy Instructions, ensuring field work aligns with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, promoting sound employee safety practices, and fostering a culture of unparalleled employee safety.
- Actively engaging in and leading Business Lean Six Sigma processes and projects.
- Recruiting, nurturing, retaining, guiding, and advancing resources at sites to uphold professional standards and foster team development within a matrix environment.
- Assuming accountability for all aspects of timely safety and environmental reporting, financial reporting, and turbine availability.
- Collaborating closely with internal NextEra stakeholders to devise and execute operation-focused feedback and solutions for both planned and unplanned maintenance, improvement projects, development initiatives, and financial performance.
- Serving as a positive and professional representative of NextEra Energy within the community and in interactions with customers.
- Overseeing the performance of wind field operations within the designated contractual scope of responsibilities for external customers and stakeholders.
The ideal candidates will embody the following attributes
- Possesses either a bachelor's degree in business or engineering or has accumulated six years of equivalent experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated adaptability to different geographic locations for potential future roles
- At least five years of hands-on experience in leading field services operations, preferably within wind turbines or rotating equipment
- Proficiency in collaborating effectively within a complex organizational structure and across all levels of the Company
- Strong executive presentation skills
- Certification as a Six Sigma green belt or a comparable quality assurance qualification
- Proficient in network infrastructure, communication protocols, and web technology
- Established track record of managing profit and loss responsibilities
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and a track record of thriving in cross-functional and team-oriented environments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance to all Power Generation Division (PGD) operational model processes
- Leads by example and emulates the PGD shared values
- Develops cost-effective operations and maintenance programs
- Interfaces with land owners, utilities, regulatory agencies, and local government and community representatives
- Monitors and controls plant budget
- Ensures that contractual obligations are met
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

The estimated base pay for this position is $128,800.00to $193,200.00per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
