Job Summary and Qualifications

Emergency room nursing is unpredictable, and you can never be exactly sure what you're dealing with, even if EMS has called ahead to give a briefing. Cases in the ER can change quickly, and it's important for nurses to be ready to move or change responsibilities at a moment's notice. ER nurses must be able to react quickly to the patient and directions from the doctor. We are currently looking for an ambitious Emergency Department Registered Nurse to help bring our patient care to the next level.

  • You will communicate positively and professionally with all internal and external customers and demonstrate appropriate judgement and problem solving skills 

  • You provide age appropriate care to his/her patients based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient 

  • Your role preforms delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery 

What qualifications you will need:


  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license. 

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross. 

  • TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) and ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) required within 6 months of hire date. (Note: ENPC is only required for initial certification time and is not required for renewal. **Colleagues participating in a transition to practice program must have all required certifications at the completion of their program and transition to independent practice. 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred. 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years ED experience required.
