Description
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Technical Operations Lead to manage IT systems and day-to-day IT operations at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC).
This key position is responsible for providing support and managing IT systems in a complex training environment. You will work with technical team members and a variety of stakeholders to manage the day-to-day maintenance and operations of numerous networks, software programs, and connectivity in support of DMOC events and exercises; in addition to ensuring the DMOC battlespace internal network remains in a persistent state.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you are comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
* Ability to provide support and manage systems in a complex training environment.
* Employ extensive Technical/Process/Workflow knowledge that supports the planning, execution, and real-time resolution of complex battlespace challenges.
* Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
* Use good judgement to pursue courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
* Work closely with program-assigned technicians, network engineers, software engineers, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure the computer systems and software stays in a high state of readiness. Maintain a high quality of system efficiency.
* Oversee and manage the quality and timeliness of the organization’s products, and identification and remediation of potential issues before they become problems.
The successful candidate will have a current full-time Program assignment; with a subset of their time allocated to Functional Manage duties, which fluctuate throughout the year due to business needs and the performance management cycle.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with at least 8 years of technical, administrative, and operations experience OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience OR Equivalent commercial or military training, certifications, and 12 years of network management, administration, training and process management experience.
* Full working knowledge of Microsoft Windows software and Linux Flavor OS’s
* Exceptional leadership skills to coordinate collaboration across different Software, engineering, Government, and contractor teams
* Demonstrated mastery in various competencies of Teaching, Mentoring, and Facilitation
* An Active Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP/SAR eligibility
Preferred Qualifications:
* Technical expertise with virtualization specialties, an understanding of Windows Active Directory, VMware processes and Configuration Management as it pertains to software/hardware management
* Proven interaction in a distributed team environment
* IAT Level II certification strongly desired
* PMP certification desired
*Salary Range: *$114,900 - $172,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
