Job Purpose


We are now accepting applications for a Maintenance Stock Room Attendant, on A-shift, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.  This position will coordinate and maintain stock levels for the maintenance department by ordering, accepting, stocking parts, and keeping accurate computer records.  This role will also need to prioritize purchasing is needed to minimize machinery and departmental downtime.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities



The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to the below.  This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by this position.



  • Maintain organized stockroom, storage areas, parts and supply inventories.

  • Catalogue, manage and maintain inventory utilizing eMaint software and historical records.

  • Competitively quote spare parts orders for best value considering cost, lead-time and supplier reliability.

  • Generate, and enter, requisitions via SAP to maintain required spare parts stocking levels.

  • Generate, and enter, requisitions via SAP to maintain required tool room supplies.

  • Apply standard operating practices by coordinating supplier deliveries.

  • Receive, label and store shipments made by suppliers in a timely manner to maintain an organized stock room.

  • Maintain coordinated records of quotations and requisitions for future reference as needed.

  • Provide various inventory reports (i.e. total value, turns, time-based spends, etc.) on an as-needed basis.

  • Perform daily housekeeping, hygiene and cleanliness procedures.

  • Persons in this position will perform all other tasks as assigned and work overtime as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by Department Manager.





Qualifications



Minimum Qualifications



  • At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to do basic math.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand the local language.
     


Preferred Qualifications



  • Five years maintenance background

  • 2 years computer experience - the ability to use computer software.

  • Organizational skills.

  • Communications skills – ability to work with salespersons, purchasing department, and maintenance employees.

  • Record keeping skills.

  • Be able to handle fast paced and high stress at job.


 


Language Skills:  Ability to read, write, and speak English is required.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, division, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with some standardization.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Other Skills and Abilities:  The ability to use computer software and preferably 2 years of computer experience.  The ability to work with salespersons, purchasing department, and maintenance employees. Good record keeping skills.

Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently  required to stand; traverse indoor and outdoor areas,  sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.  Must be able to traverse to working areas below and above floor level.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
