Employment Type: Permanent Staff (EHRA NF) Vacancy ID: NF0008438 Salary Range: Dependent on Education/Experience Position Summary/Description: UNC's Advanced Cellular Therapeutics Facility is looking for a qualified Quality Control Associate to join their team to support the work of developing and producing cellular therapy products for patients receiving adoptive cell therapy for the treatment of cancer. This person will be responsible for establishing a facility environmental monitoring program working with third party vendors as references and developing the appropriate processes to implement a sustainable program at the facility, including the scheduling of environmental monitoring. The person will gather data and feedback from stakeholders to create a strategy for environmental monitoring and its execution. The purpose of this is to ensure the quality of the facility and processes responsible for producing cellular therapies. The role will conduct testing, review results, and analyze the trending of data. The person will create and maintain technical documents that support the program and ensure they are followed by educating technicians on aseptic techniques and gowning qualifications. The position will track and trend environmental monitoring, investigate environmental occurrences, and assist in review of contamination events. Individual will provide continuous reporting on status of environment and any developing trends. Person will additionally oversee facility cleaning activities such as working in conjunction with the third-party facility cleaning services and setting up any additional cleaning needed. This role will need to work independently with minimum oversight able to identify environmental causes for concern and develop corrective actions to improve processes. Education and Experience: Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment. Essential Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point). Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and how they are utilized in an academic manufacturing environment.
