UCSF Fitness and Recreation operates two fitness centers at UCSF. We provide fitness and wellbeing services to UCSF Students, Faculty, Staff and Community members through a broad range of fitness, recreation, aquatics, personal training, outdoor programs, and health and wellness programs. We are a customer service division, providing needed services on all UCSF campus sites and delivering these services with PRIDE: Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Excellence. The Lead Lifeguard works under direct supervision of the Aquatics Manager and is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics unit, which include customer service, patron safety, pool maintenance, emergency procedures/evacuations, and daily safety checks of the swimming pools, and surrounding areas. The Lead Lifeguard also assists with the supervision of aquatics programs and related administrative duties as required. The Lead Lifeguard assists in the delivery of lifeguard training and in-service trainings. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $23.59 - $32.30 (Hourly Rate).
