Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity to join our busy Global PMO team has become available!  We are recruiting an experienced Agile Delivery Manager, based in Phoenix, Arizona. The candidate will report to the VP Global PMO, The role is the Agile Subject Matter Expert and will lead a small team of Scrum masters. It is the Agile Delivery Lead’s responsibility to raise awareness and drive the adoption of Agile Values and Principles across the Avnet organization.

The Agile Delivery manager will train, advise, facilitate, mentor and coach business stakeholders and the Scrum team to develop and build an agile culture and continuous improvement mindset.

As agile delivery manager, you will have experience working with senior leaders, stakeholders and third parties to drive agile transformations at an organizational level. You will be part of the Global PMO leadership team driving cultural change to embed agile approaches and ways of working. With a strong background as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach (or similar roles) you will primarily focus on delivery strategy, while supporting the creation of self-organizing and high performing teams, supported closely by the VP Global PMO.

You will have the ability and experience establishing agile delivery/transformations, through a solid coaching background. As well as demonstrating your leadership qualities in developing matrix teams while also using Managed Services Suppliers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Build an awareness and desire for Agile ways of working across the global business

  • Champion agile training and awareness sessions

  • Develop deep and influential relationships across the global business

  • Create an environment that allows teams to grow and improve.

  • Deepen team understanding of agility

  • Champion the benefits of agility beyond existing Scrum teams.

  • Find ways of improving the ‘as-is’

  • Maintain a safe environment where collaboration can thrive.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Essential


  • Deep understanding of Agile principles, practices and behaviors

  • Deep understanding of the Scrum framework.

  • Ability to building relationships and navigate complex, Global organizations

  • Certified Scrum Master

  • Team leadership

  • Strong coach and team facilitator

  • Experience in coaching senior leaders and directors in Agile

  • Good appreciation of the SDLC

  • Assertive, with the confidence to challenge

  • High energy and passionate about the job, and ability to influence those around them

Desirable


  • Advanced-CSM / PSM II or higher.

  • Training experience


Work Experience:

  • Typically 6+ years including 2+ years of supervisory experience


Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
