Operator - Clinical Trial Distribution Warehouse Operation - Military Veterans

The main objective of this role is to perform order processing functions such as picking, packing and shipping critical clinical trial finished goods (CTFG) from the Indianapolis Distribution Hub to domestic and international Clinical Test Sites, depots and hubs. 

Key Responsibilities: 


  • Unload, put-a-way, pick, pack and ship CTFG’s.  This includes interaction with warehouse management system via a hand held RF device.  Pack orders following strict validated packing requirements


  • Comply with FDA, GMP, GDP, DOT, IATA, TSA, C-TPAT and OSHA requirements


  • Ensure training plan is current and complete


  • Understand and accurately follow corporate and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), local and federal laws and regulations, Lilly Ethics & Compliance requirements, and operational qualifications related to operator role


  • Actively adhere to and engage in safety programs and policies within the area of responsibility 


  • Constantly look for areas of improvement in safety, compliance, data accuracy and productivity


Other Responsibilities may include:


  • Ordering of warehouse consumables


  • Special Projects


  • Labeling of product


  • Cycle Counting


  • Destruction processes


  • Communication with freight forwarder personnel


  • Waving of work to the Distribution Operations Team


  • Support facility maintenance


Basic Requirements:


  • High School degree or GED


  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical warehousing and distribution


  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.”


Additional Requirements:

  • Must speak fluent English

Experience Requirements: 


  • Warehouse experience including previous experience operating powered industrial trucks


  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail


  • Willingness to be flexible and willing to be cross-trained to perform multiple assignments


  • Willingness to work in a chilled environment (5c)


  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice


  • Demonstrated good work attendance history


  • Demonstrated high productivity rate in a team environment with minimal supervision


  • Strong organizing/multi-tasking skills


  • Demonstrated strong computer skills


  • Demonstrated warehouse management systems experience


  • Standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and bending are required


  • Positive attitude
