The Research Analyst will provide research and administrative support to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Maternal Child Adolescent Health Division (MCAH)- funded Maternal Infant Health Assessment (MIHA), an annual population based survey of people with a recent live birth. This position involves assisting in the development, production, review and finalization of MIHA survey materials. This position requires critically reviewing and summarizing a wide range of research information and published literature related to maternal and child health. The candidate will support day-to-day operations of MIHA as needed (e.g., scheduling and documenting project related meetings, utilizing project management software, tracking deliverables, coordinating travel, maintaining websites and reimbursements). Additionally, the candidate will provide assistance with technical aspects of survey design and data collection, as needed. With guidance, the ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and dissemination of MIHA results via data tables, graphs, figures, PowerPoint slides, issue briefs and written reports. Ideally, the candidate would have experience with Constant Contact, website editing and creating social media posts to disseminate information and promote CHE's work. The position requires someone with either a lived experience with issues of diversity or experience working on issues of health equity. The position will be a hybrid remote/onsite position and is located in San Francisco. Some travel within California (e.g., for meetings with CDPH/MCAH collaborators) will be required. Candidates should be highly detail oriented. This position will entail effective communication with staff and faculty at various professional levels within the Center for Health Equity and with outside collaborators including program and epidemiology staff at CDPH/MCAH, and subcontractors, and community organizations. This is a guaranteed 75% position through June 30, 2025 with continuation at 80% through June 30, 2030. There is a possibility of 100% through June 30, 2030 once other funding is confirmed. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $94,200 (Annual Rate).
