The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects. Position Summary Temporary, Part Time, Benefitted position through 7/31/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). Salary: $21.00-$26.00 per hour. Location: CSUSB Campus. Work Schedule 20-30 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged. Typically Monday- Friday within the hours of 9:00AM to 6:00PM. Some nights and weekends may be required. First Review Deadline This position will remain open until filled. Typical Activities Under minimal supervision of the Center for Cyber and AI Director, the Executive Assistant will work independently to: Set their own priorities regularly and manage multiple work priorities. Incumbents may help set priorities for others but are primarily accountable for their own work results. Be able to hold a valid driver's license and travel occasionally to assist the Director. Plan and coordinate clerical work activities and provide lead work direction and/or training and assistance to others in work processes and procedures. Perform assignments that are varied involving the regular use of judgment and discretion. Take courses of action, which are guided by some interpretation of policies and procedures. Develop creative solutions to a variety of problems addressed. Run budget reports and/or provide budgetary support to the Director. Perform reception duties, including the filing of documents, answering telephones, typing forms, letters, and memos, and performing other clerical duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or like field Experience: 2+ years of administrative experience Other: General knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices, and a working knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Applicants must possess fundamental writing skills to effectively communicate standard information. Applicants must possess the ability to use standard office equipment, along with the ability to use standard word processing and related computer software packages. Applicants must possess the ability to perform basic arithmetic functions, along with the ability to respond to basic routine inquiries and explain standard policies and procedures to others. Applicants must possess the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse campus community. Applicants MUST have prior knowledge of grant-funded project management support. Applicant MUST have prior knowledge of cybersecurity education and of the Grant-funded projects CHIRP, SFS, DoD CySP, and the CAE-C Community. Occasional domestic travel required. Have a valid driver's license. Must be a United States Citizen and authorized to work in the United States.
