Position Summary:
Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the security and safety of various environments. You’ll safeguard staff, patients, and visitors while serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities. Additionally, you will assist with patient supervision and ensure compliance with HSS and client safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property.
Supervise at-risk patients in the environment.
Collaborate with the client and community, upholding HSS’s commitment to safety and security.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to obtain and maintain applicable licenses or certifications.
Strong vision abilities (color vision, depth perception, etc.).
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 80 lbs. during entire shifts.
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet HSS/Tarian company driving guidelines, if applicable.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous work experience in a service-oriented role with the public.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. The work environment can be fast-paced and stressful, with workweeks potentially exceeding 40 hours, including evenings and weekends.
