Junior, Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist- Yue Lab Department of Physiology University of California, San Francisco The Yue Lab in the Department of Physiology at UCSF is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join as a Junior, Assistant, Associate or Full Specialist. The lab is dedicated to studying how the nervous system communicates with bodily fluids, with a particular focus on signaling at critical brain interfaces. Area of Specialization / Responsibilities: We are interested in candidates who can perform research independently and collaboratively, including designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments. Candidates should have expertise in one of the following areas: Cell and tissue physiology: Electrophysiology and live imaging in dissociated cells and tissue slices. Biochemistry and cell biology: Western blotting, protein purification, immunohistochemistry, cell culture, etc. Required Qualifications: Junior Specialist: BA/BS degree in Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, or a related field OR at least four years of research experience. Must have hands- on research experience. Assistant Specialist: Master's degree OR a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, or a related field with three or more years of research experience. Must have significant hands-on experience. Associate Specialist: Master's degree (or equivalent degree) in Neuroscience, Physiology, or other related field OR five to ten years of experience in the relevant specialization, with strong record of independent research and publications. Full Specialist- terminal degree (or equivalent degree) in Neuroscience, Physiology, or other related field OR ten or more years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Assistant Specialist- A Master's degree Associate and Full Specialist- A PhD.
