System Modeling and Simulation Engineer - Military Veterans

Amentum is now hiring for several System Modeling and Simulation Engineer (All Levels) positions in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

The candidate will perform the following duties:

• Designs and implements simulation solutions for company modeling applications.
  
  
• Analyzes test results to configure model parameters and materials.
  
  
• Identifies development problems and provides technical solutions backed by analysis.
  
  
• Develops product documentation for designs and test procedures.
  
  
• Assists in developing platforms for simulation models.
  
  
• Generates and maintains diagrams for simulation hardware.
  
  
• Develops engineering calculation programs to support simulations.
  
  
• Finds solutions in device literature if it is not already in company documentation.
  
  
• Has experience in creating and applying simulation models that allow manipulation of variables as defined by customer using a variety of modeling and simulation tools.
  
  
• Knowledge of software modeling and device characterization, hard and soft modeling development, parametric testing, and measurement automation.
  
  
• Must have experience in the construction of simulations to customer specifications.
  
  
• Must have thorough knowledge of IT systems and networks.
  
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
  
  
• 1-10+ years of experience
  
  
• 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  
  
• Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
  
  

Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $200,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
