We are seeking a Principal System Engineer- to work onsite in Huntsville AL or Colorado Springs, CO. The selected candidate will support the C2BMC SEIT team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date.
What You Will Do:
Key Responsibilities include:
Focus on supporting the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews.
Provide use case briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department.
Perform the work under the direction of the Systems Engineering Lead, various product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available.
Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis.
Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, statusing, and agile team leadership.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
The Systems Engineer is expected to have:
Relevant experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle.
Demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product.
Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret clearance is required prior to start date. Candidate must have a SECRET clearance to start with the ability to obtain a TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Technical Skills Required:
Must possess an understanding of systems engineering process and principles - A proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively, and clearly present technical approaches and findings
The ability to write and implement engineering plans within a project
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Experience working within an Agile development environment
Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense
Experience with Systems Analysis, Metric Development, MBSE and Architecture development

This is an ONSITE position. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
