Bell A&P Helicopter Mechanic (6 months plus to potential hire)
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on the assigned Bell 214ST Helicopter.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on airframes, engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and avionics.
- Complete all maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and aircraft status.
- Collaborate with the avionics technician to troubleshoot and resolve avionics-related issues.
- Stay updated on advancements in aircraft technology and participate in training programs as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance hangar and work area.
- Adhere to all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and safety standards.
Required Experience & Licenses Required
- 8-15 years plus of experience on heavy maintenance and phase inspection on rotary wing aircraft.
- 5 plus years of Bell Helicopter products like UH-1N, Bell 412, Bell 212, UH-60 experience
- Must have an A&P License
- Experience working in a FAA Part 145 & 135.
Compliance Requirements/Tooling/Schedule
- Must pass a FAA DOT Drug Test
- Must pass Criminal Background Check
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Shift/Hours Monday-Saturday, Day Shift, 8-10 hours per day.
- Overtime Hours: 10 to 20 hours a week.
- Location: Alabama
- Pay Range (Based on Experience): $40.00-$45.00. Per Diem is available for eligible individuals.
- Required Equipment: Must have own tools. Toolbox must be shadowed. Tools must be engraved with your Initials and last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
