Supervisor, Laboratory Implementation Specialist - Military Veterans

Responsible for working with the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory staff at all DCH locations, acting as a resource for all laboratory testing and an available peer to other supervisors. Troubleshoots instrumentation before and after service. Oversees new instrument or test implementation, including, installation, verification/validation, and training of new instrumentation within their expertise (i.e. Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry and Special Chemistry). Is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and as such is a liaison for all moderately/high complexity CLIA DCH Clinical Diagnostic laboratories to ensure continuity across laboratories regarding testing procedure, resulting and result structure. Attends or manages all instrument training provided by manufacturer (off-site and on-site). Assists with troubleshooting of instrumentation or the reallocation of testing location. Oversees that all regulatory standards are met and understood under the direction of the Chief, Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, the Laboratory Quality Compliance Manger and the Section Manager in relation to all laboratory locations.

Working supervisor with duties to plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of the personnel assigned to a specific section. Performs laboratory analysis on specimens collected from neonates, infants/toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults. Responsible for producing a highly integrated, efficient team effort by demonstration of leadership qualities and technical expertise. Able to perform all applicable laboratory tests at an advanced level, many of which are moderately and high complex, providing support to testing staff, as directed by the department Manager. Responsible twenty-four hours per day for given section for all testing/processing functions. Ensures compliance of section with all regulatory requirements, including proficiency testing and competencies. Routinely involves Manager for guidance, testing issues, staff support, and customer service mediation. Consistently provides Manager with updates including but not limited to location, staff, and inventory. Administratively processes personnel issues in conjunction with the Manager and Employee Experience.
