About the Dunn County Community Outreach and Office Operations Associate:
The Community Outreach and Office Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting the delivery of educational programs and services in Dunn County and Area 6. Working closely with Extension educators, this position supports the successful implementation of outreach efforts that serve diverse community audiences. The associate is responsible for coordinating program logistics, facilitating access to educational resources, and supporting program delivery across the region,

In addition to assisting with local programming, the associate provides critical support to the Dunn County office team and the Area 6 Extension Director, ensuring smooth office operations and efficient internal processes. The associate will manage and monitor the Dunn County Extension budget. This role also includes managing and creating digital marketing efforts, such as maintaining websites and social media accounts, creating promotional materials, and using online platforms to increase community awareness and engagement with Extension programs.

Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of professional level work across a variety of administrative service areas including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources with impact across the institution in support of unit or institutional goals.

  • 20% Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies
  • 30% Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success
  • 20% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s)
  • 20% Assists, recommends, and advises staff on unit or program administrative issues, personnel matters, and budgetary problems
  • 10% Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the unit or program

Qualifications:
Required:
-Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional work environments and relationships
-Ability to effectively work with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity
-Basic financial management skills, including budgeting, invoicing, and purchasing
-Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (social media, websites, email marketing)

Preferred
-Experience with community-based outreach and education
-Experience representing an organization in a public-facing role
-Experience with digital marketing content creation (short-long form digital content, Facebook posts, infographics, etc.)
-Experience developing partnerships with other agencies, community-based services, or organizations

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
