You'll have the chance to work closely with campus stakeholders to support and enhance the my.SDSU PeopleSoft Campus Solutions system, particularly focusing on financial aid and student financials. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support & Troubleshooting : Assist in the operational support of the my.SDSU student information system, with a focus on financial aid and student financial modules. Data & Technical Analysis : Aid in the analysis of system configurations, data queries and equation engine, and ensure accurate data processing within and across systems. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution : Collaborate with cross-functional units to diagnose and resolve issues related to system errors, unexpected outcomes, and failed jobs. Automation & Reporting : Set up automated processes for file staging and data transfer, support local reporting needs, and ensure accuracy in data output. System Enhancements & Collaboration : Partner with campus operational units to assess needs, develop solutions, and implement technical enhancements to improve system performance and user experience. User Support: Serve as an additional resource to support campus users, offering timely responses to inquiries and issues related to my.SDSU and other related systems. Position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego. Department Summary The SDSU OneIT Community is vital to the university's success by delivering core technology services across our campuses, colleges, administrative areas, and auxiliary units. The ERP Systems unit within the Information Technology Division leads and supports critical enterprise-level transactional systems for the university. These systems include my.SDSU (PeopleSoft) Campus Solutions, PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle E-Business Suite for financials, Hyland OnBase Imaging and Workflow, and other related systems. Education and Experience To enter this classification, a basic foundation of knowledge and skills in applications programming and systems analysis and related programming support functions is a prerequisite. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or business, or equivalent training and applied experience. Foundation knowledge and skills for the Analyst/Programmer, depending on the position assignment, may include working knowledge of a specific industry standard applications programming language and knowledge of standard systems analysis techniques Key Qualifications 1+ years of ERP application support and providing deliverables in higher education or other regulated industries. General knowledge of user support and the development of workflows and key progress indicators of efficiency of support. System analysis and hands-on project experience, preferably in a highly regulated environment (education, healthcare, military, etc.) General knowledge of PeopleSoft CMS or related ERP systems used in Higher Education. General knowledge of PSQuery or other technical database languages used to create queries to pull data from an enterprise system into formats useful for technical team General knowledge of higher education enrollment business processes, procedures, and systems Compensation and Benefits Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $5,834 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
